Carlo Nason

Originally designed in the 1960s as a wired table lamp, Carlo Nason and Established & Sons have redeveloped Gelato into a portable glass lamp, bringing the Italian designers artistic philosophy into 21st century technology.

Gelato, eponymously named for its resemblance to the quintessential Italian symbol, features a colourful glass vase, or cup, that nestles an orb of frosted glass. The freestanding orb hosts a custom-made, replaceable LED bulb with an integrated battery, and is activated with a haptic three-step dimmer. The portable glass lamp is charged directly on the orb, using a USB-C magnetic charging cable now universal to Established & Sons collection of portable luminaires.

Gelato, playful and uniquely giftable, is offered in four distinct finishes aptly named to highlight its Italian heritage: Spritz (orange), Mint (green), Azure (blue), and Smoke (grey). This varied colour offering makes Gelato exceptionally suitable for interiors from a beautiful minimalist home to a buzzling colourful caf.
